Foot Ball post - 2

Updated: Dec 9, 2019

As the rivalry between the Harker Heights Knights and the Shoemaker Grey wolves came to a blood boiling start, I began shooting. The camera that i shot with was the Canon Ti5, and because it gets dark at 5 pm now that its November... my settings were set to Shutter speed 1/160. My ISO was cranked up to 8000 and my F stop was set at 5.3 since before kickoff.

This was probably the first image that i took and actually liked at the game. It took me a little bit to get back into the swing of things from the first game, but everything turned out fine.

As the game was starting, and the captains from each team were walking toward the center for the coin flip, i was being pushed out of the way by all of these random people of whom I knew none of. This was the only picture from that whole period that wasn't out of focus or have some rando in frame.

The players were running so fast that just about every shot was either blurry or had no focal point because i was moving to fast and over shot them. The fact that both number 5's on both teams were pit against each other makes it seem like an epic rivalry or something.

This whole run was full of pretty decent shots in my opinion. It was mainly a spray and pray but luckily i got a good amount of ones that i like.

This is one of my favorite shots from the entire game, with the way that the player is getting ready to throw the ball to the way he is in focus but everyone else isn't. It could have been better but i still enjoy the end product.

Not even ten minuets into the game, this guy was yelling at one of the players to get past a "midget" on the other team. It was always interesting while i was on this side of the field; i got to listen to some colourful language.

After the half-time show, they were giving awards and other types of things. I don't know what any of them were for because i never pay attention to things like that but i got this shot of a families reaction to a band member being recognized.

This was a reaction to a touchdown that was made by Shoemaker. Unfortunately, any kind of chest bumping and jumping up and down was missed but i'm still glad that i got the face of this player.

As I was running from the Heights sideline to Shoemaker's, somehow my f/stop was changed from 5.3 to a solid 10. It took me about 5 minutes and 30 pictures to notice. this is from after I fixed the problem and re-shot some of the pictures.

I didn't know that the crowd was going to shoot smoke while i was down with the band so i didn't have the appropriate lens to capture the crowd in the smoke but i did get this picture of the smoke falling on to the band.
